CONSTRUCTION TUTORS
We are looking for enthusiastic new Construction Tutors to help us prepare young people for future careers in the industry.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to make a difference by sharing your knowledge and experience, teaching construction skills and a recognised qualification to young people and helping prepare them for a career in the construction industry or trades.

What schools say:
"Students have engaged and interacted well in course. Many have cited it as their favourite part of the school day. The impact on the students has always been positive. They have gained an understanding about construction, not just the practical side but the theory that goes with it (costing, safety regulations, how to earn a living). The tutor delivers a great lesson where he helps them to understand the construction industry demonstrating the positive and effective ways of communication."
"Students take ownership of their work and build on their carpentry skills. They can contribute ideas towards the design of their project, and they can take their work home. This is something that has been highly popular as it encourages them to take pride in their work and have something positive to take home. It has been lovely to see photographs of the students work at their home."
Following interview we offer the opportunity for you to join on of our tutors at a session in a school near you to gain an insight into the work involved in being a SATRO Construction Tutor.
About You
We are looking for someone with experience of the construction industry, or other relevant industry.
You could already be working in the education sector as a Teaching Assistant or Technician and want to grow your career in education.
You should be enthusiastic with a passion to inspire and encourage young people to reach their full potential, and a desire to share your knowledge.
We want someone who believes every young person has the potential to achieve, and should be given the opportunity to do so, no matter their background.
