Work with Us

SATRO is an educational charity with a team of 19 comprising tutors in STEM, construction, mentoring, careers and employability who work in schools across the South East of England.  They are backed by a core team based in our offices on the Research Park in Guildford.  Our delivery in schools is supported by industry and community volunteers.  We also work in partnership with both corporates and similar educational delivery organisations to extend our reach and expand our offer.

Capture

SATRO is a regional, highly impactful educational charity working with young people from the ages of 8-19 in schools across Surrey and its bordering counties. We work with corporates and charitable funders to inspire a new generation of students in their interests, their pathways for the future and support to build the skills they will need.

You will join a committed team of 8 mobile tutors with support from the central SATRO office for running qualifications and programme coordination. You will be provided with a van with all the tools and materials needed to teach the courses and will attend schools across your area for morning or afternoon weekly sessions per school, across an academic year. We currently teach over 430 students a year on a range of units covering joinery, plumbing, electrics, careers pathways and employability skills in mainstream, alternative provision, pupil referral units and special needs schools.
